Getting There
Here you will find the directions for getting to the holiday home and possible transportation possibilities.
By car
Most of you will probably arrive by car and so will many other people in the summer months. Be prepared for possible delays, especially as there are still some unsightly construction sites on the way. But it will be worth it and on Ruegen itself you have it not far: Coming from the A20 (whether from east or west) you drive on the B96 past Stralsund and cross the new Ruegen bridge. After the Ruegen bridge, take the first exit towards Altefaehr, turn right after the exit and cross the first traffic light straight ahead, do not follow the signs to Altefaehr (the road is very bumpy). At the next opportunity turn left (now follow the signs "Altefaehr") and in Altefaehr drive to the signs "Barnkevitz" and turn right there. Immediately turn left again into "Am Kurpark" and you will see the blue and white houses of your holiday park. Drive into the entrance, then immediately left again into the first cul-de-sac to the back through to house 43, where you can comfortably park and the Faeulein Meer - Miss Sea and our management await you.
By train
It is also possible by train, but it is a good distance to walk from the station (2.5 km) and we have to tell you that the station Altefaehr is unfortunately very old and dirty. It is completely incomprehensible to us why Deutsche Bahn allows this situation, but that is the way it is. For example, you can reach this station from Berlin in only 3.5 hours and change trains once. If you have organised a taxi in advance, you can easily get into your holiday home. Alternatively you could take a taxi from Stralsund main station to Altefaehr, which is then about 11 km.
By ferry
You can take the train in combination with the ferry from Stralsund to Altefaehr! From Stralsund main station it is about 25 minutes on foot (1.8 km) to the ferry terminal in the harbour, of course it is quicker and more comfortable by taxi. From there, take the waterway to Altefaehr (timetables) and then it is only about 400 m on foot: From the jetty in the harbour to the café "Eis und Heiss" and then turn left. Immediately right again and there up the stairs, above again left and straight ahead to the holiday park. In the park, immediately turn left again into the first cul-de-sac until you reach house 43.
